Media Skills FAQ
What are the benefits of media training and coaching?
Media interviews are an opportunity for your ideas to be heard by a large audience. In order to make the most of this opportunity, you need to be prepared. Because being interviewed is different than giving a speech or presentation, many business professionals seek training so they feel confident in their ability to respond to questions or read teleprompter copy for the corporate video.

Why use Grant Street Communications, LLC?
I have 15 years of experience of media experience and have trained business professionals so they were prepared for interviews and to appear on-camera. I can help you develop your talking points, polish your on-camera appearance, concisely answer questions or read teleprompter so you look and sound natural.

How long will it take?
That depends on you and your goals. Because every client is unique, I offer an initial free consultation so we can determine your goals and create a plan just for you.
How much will it cost?
During the initial free consultation, we will discuss your goals, options and budget so that we can develop a program that will meet your needs.

Where will the training take place?
Most clients prefer training and coaching to take place at their offices. However, some clients prefer an offsite location which I can help you arrange.
Do you use videotaping in your training?
Yes, I do record your practice in private coaching sessions and group workshops. It is the most effective way for us to evaluate your skills and help you make solid progress on improving them. The recordings belong to the individual(s) who are being coached or trained.

How large are your workshops?
I limit the media workshops to a maximum of six people. This ensures that each person receives individual attention within the group setting.

Is private coaching better than a group workshop?
One is not better than the other. The choice depends on your goals and schedule. Private coaching may be better if you have limited time and need immediate advice for an upcoming media opportunity. A workshop may be the best choice if you want to develop your overall skills.
